This policy explains what data Guardn handles. It is short on purpose.

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We use this to authenticate you and deliver the service.
We may collect anonymous usage data -- feature counts, error rates, performance metrics -- to improve the product.
If you email us, we receive your address and the content of your message.
What leaves your machine depends on the mode you choose.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK). You supply your own API keys. Guardn does not see, store, or log your keys, prompts, or model responses. Requests go from your environment to the provider you configure.
Cloud. When you use Guardn-routed model access, prompts and relevant code context pass through our systems to the model provider. We do not train models on your code or prompts. In cloud mode, the model provider's own terms apply to data they process.
Local (Ollama and similar). Inference runs on your machine. Nothing is sent to Guardn or to external model providers for chat or generation.
Scanning. In BYOK and local modes, analysis runs on your machine. In cloud-assisted flows, limited context may be sent as needed. Post-quantum attestation of scan results uses an external API; only the data required for attestation is sent.
We use third parties only as needed:
Each is governed by its own terms. We do not sell your data.
We do not keep long-lived copies of your code for the core product flows above. Transient data exists only as long as needed to complete a request. Usage metrics, if collected, are kept only while useful for improvement.
Email correspondence is retained as needed to respond and for ordinary business records.
